PN21 – Audit of Investment Businesses Withdrawn

A real quick update this time.  Following today’s announcement by the FRC that Practice Note 21 on the Audit of Investment Businesses in the UK is to be withdrawn, we will be revising our training course slides accordingly in the interim and again once revisions to Practice Note 19 are finalised.  Although technically only directly compliant to the audit of UK investment business this formed part of established best practice in Guernsey also but had become quite dated.

If you’d like further information on the training services we provide to audit firms on the audit of investment business in Guernsey please use the contact page.

For further information on the withdrawn standard please see https://frc.org.uk/news/november-2017/practice-note-21-withdrawn

Author: Tommy (ápeiron)

I started ápeiron alongside some longstanding comrades from the finance industry in Guernsey. I've moved as a qualified accountant to the island in 2003 with my family and have been providing services to the finance sector ever since. Those services have included advisory, consultation, audit, financial due diligence, pre-GFSC visit health checks, forensic accounting and lots and lots of reporting engagements. I've worked with a number of household name top Accounting firms helped develop their own quality and industry standards.
